Open A2
This is the second flight qualification, in Open category you perform low-risk operations, allows to fly in urban areas without the presence of people and pilot drones weighing more than or equal to 250 grams.
There is a theoretical examination of 30 suggested multiple-choice questions. The Open A2 exam is held individually and by each student on ENAC platform, in an environment "proctored" or supervised at the Academy, provides a personal payment of € 31.00 and the need to have SPID credentials.
The topics for the Open A2 examination are structured by ENAC so that the remote pilot can demonstrate:
- Understanding of the safety risks associated with UAS operations in close proximity to non-involved or heavier UAS;
- Ability to assess the ground risk associated with the environment in which the operation is taking place, such as close-proximity flight of non-involved persons;
- Basic knowledge of how to plan a flight and define contingency procedures;
- Knowledge of how weather conditions may affect UAS performance;
- Knowledge of UAS and their main functions.
ExaDrone Academy is authorized by ENAC to conduct the Open A2 exam at our premises in "proctored mode".
In addition, we recommend the course "Preparatory at the Open A2 exam", which includes topics on which the exam is based.
The Open A2 is the second basic qualification to operate with the drone (UAS), to continue your career as a pilot it is recommended to have a good base because rising level, you start to cover advanced topics. Being a preparatory examination for the subsequent qualifications, it provides training focused on specific concepts in aeronautics and contributes to increase its knowledge base, on which to build its path.
