Airfield
Within the Brasimone Research Center of ENEA, is the fantastic Airfield. In the past it was used as a heliport, essential for the safety and emergencies of the Centre, but also for the surrounding mountain community. Today it has been transformed into a drone flight camp, where the student can exercise freely and can obtain the exercises for the final assessment SPECIFIC STS VLOS and BVLOS.
The Airfield is located on a hill, this is an advantage for safety, as it is surrounded by a wooded area and in case of accident will not cause any harm to any person, and for the beauty of the landscape. It dominates the entire valley of Lake Brasimone, a pleasant and relaxing feature for a fun activity. In addition to learning you can enjoy breathtaking landscapes.
The Airfield has two ENAC approved slopes for BVLOS exercises, the first is 1 km, while the second is 2 km. It represents a significant advantage, to provide a varied preparation with different scenarios, from urban to rural and sites regulated by strict restrictions such as the Research Centre.
ExaDrone Academy provides the Airfield for free exercises. If you wish to practice in our Airfield, click "Ask for information" to submit your request.
