For the conduct of Specific category operations and in STS scenarios, mandatory practical training shall be provided after acquiring, inter alia, CRM UAS and aeronautical communications management skills. Beyond Visual Line Of Sight (BVLOS) operations are missions beyond their own field of view, that is beyond the horizon or other obstacles such as trees or hills.

The course includes operational briefings and practical training on:

• Planning the operation;
• Pre-flight inspection and configuration;
• Knowledge of emergency manoeuvres;
• Situational awareness;
• Management of the flight team;
• Management of Aeronautical Communications;
• Flight control;
• Management of contingency and emergency situations.

ExaDrone Academy is authorised by ENAC to evaluate and certify the mandatory STS-02 (BVLOS) flight practice exercises at our headquarters in the Airfield. Not a theoretical examination, but practical training. The training is conducted by specialists in the field of drone piloting (UAS). It enables the student to master, be sure of the maneuvers he performs and plan a flight in total safety for himself and those around him.
